The paintings of Jarkko Peltonen are glimpses from fleeting moments and important events of life. They are recollections recorded by the artist's subconscious that are transferred to the canvas. He dresses his persons as clows to make our imcompleteness and weaknesses seem very humain and acceptable. In front of a painting the visitor can easily identify himself with its persons as almost all of us have identical experiences in our lives. On the other hand the paintings raise hopes in us to experience the hilarious moments of the clowns. His works bring to question, what is important in our life and what makes us happy.
